WISTANSTOW UNDER FIVES TODDLER GROUP
Wistanstow Under Fives Toddler Group is held every Tuesday during school term time at Wistanstow Village Hall 10am till 11.30am.
We are part of the parent committee led charity Wistanstow under Fives, which also manages the playgroup located within the grounds of Wistanstow CE Primary School. Toddlers is a volunteer run non-profit making group.
Our location at the Village Hall is ideal. There is plenty of secure parking and above all the hall is very spacious for all those energetic children! We offer a wide range of activities aimed at developing social skills, imaginative and physical play, as well as promotion of language skills. We have an area for babies with a selection of suitable toys. A typical session starts with free play, including a creative activity such as painting, gluing and sticking or play dough. We then offer healthy snacks for children and a well earned tea or coffee for the parents/carers! Following further play and tidy-up time, we round off the morning with some singing.
We have a strong link with the Children’s Centre based in Craven Arms who are very supportive of our group. Regular visits are made by our designated support worker who will bring some different activities for the children.
During the year we will hold various events such as our popular Halloween party, Christmas and Easter parties and this year a sponsored ‘summer toddle waddle’. We usually round off the year with a Teddy Bear’s picnic and then arrange a summer schedule of free meeting places through the summer holidays every Tuesday.
We pride ourselves on a group that is welcoming, friendly and sociable, not only for the children but also for us grownups. All parents/carers are responsible for their own children. Each session to cover our costs is £2 per child, 50p for each additional child and 50p for babies under 6 months.
So feel free to drop in and see us, first session is free and if you require any further information please contact Vicki Stevens on 01588-672122.
